| Why April's Green Tea? |
Green tea is increasing in popularity, for those who are health-conscious as well as for people in the know about antioxidants and epigallo catechin gallate (EGCG). Americans are now learning what people in the East have known for thousands of years: the powerful, healing powers of green tea.
Green tea is usually harvested four times each year. April's green tea is made only with tea leaves harvested in Mt. Ji-Ri region of South Korea, in April from the very first crop of the year. In South Korea, we call it "Woo-jun." It is the very highest quality, harvested in the Mt. Ji-Ri region, where the best quality green leaves are grown and selected. In April's green tea, only "Woo-jun" is allowed so that we maintain the fresh taste, a distinctive aroma, the delicate lemon-green brewed color, and pleasant after taste.

| Origin of April's Green Tea |
| - Where is April's Green Tea produced? |
| Tea was first cultivated in China over 2,500 years ago. Shortly thereafter, green tea was introduced to Korea, and the country has a long history of producing excellent tea. Korean green teas are rarely grown and are therefore very precious. (For more information about Korean Tea Click Here)
The earliest mention of tea in Korea dates to the 7th century of the Silla Dynasty. And two hundred years later, tea seeds from China were planted at the foot of Mt. Ji-Ri near the village of Ha-dong and Sa-Chun, where our April's Green Teas are cultivated. |
